Scooby Doo could have been a great movie. But the way that they portrayed the characters from the 1960's cartoon was horrible. They turned Fred into an egotistical jerk and they made Daphne an idiot. Velma was still the same smart person but she really had no feelings. At times she felt sad and rarely was she happy, most of the time she had no emotions and spoke like she could give a care. But Matthew Lillards performance of Shaggy was almost a complete imitation of the cartoon Shaggy. And Scooby Doo was jus the same to. and they turned Scrappy Doo into an evil person. They made him seem like a very bad dog.

Other than the way that they portrayed the characters, this movie had great humor and the adventure seemed just like the one's in the old cartoons. I would recommend that you take your kids to see this movie because it is a great family movie.
